Canine REHAB🐾
Individual Training

Dogs can experience physical, emotional, or behavioural challenges that affect their confidence and quality of life. With the right support, patience, and an appropriate plan, they may be able to rebuild skills and develop greater confidence.

At Pawsland, our rehabilitation service focuses on supporting dogs according to their individual needs, history, and circumstances with a trauma-informed approach to canine recovery and wellbeing. This service is especially beneficial for rescue dogs who were travelled from abroad.

We recognise that progress is not always straightforward. Our aim is to provide thoughtful, structured support that prioritises your dog’s welfare and helps you work towards realistic goals.

WHO CAN BENEFIT?

Depending on the dog’s needs, rehabilitation support may be appropriate for:

– Dogs adjusting after difficult experiences.
– Dogs rebuilding confidence following stressful events.
– Dogs who struggle to cope with everyday environments due to fear and anxiety.
– Rescue dogs, especially the ones who are adopted from abroad, who need support settling into a new home.
– Dogs working through behavioural challenges that are challenging to the owner to cope with.
– Dogs who need a gradual, structured return to everyday activities.

A TAILORED APPROACH

Every rehabilitation journey is different. We take time to understand your dog’s background, identify potential challenges, and establish suitable goals.

Where physical rehabilitation or medical concerns are involved, veterinary assessment and guidance are essential. Therefore, we only accept dogs for rehabilitation service after Clinical Behavioural Assessment and veterinary referral. We work within our professional scope and can support an appropriate behavioural or confidence-building plan alongside veterinary care where suitable.

Progress is approached at your dog’s pace, with an emphasis on safety, patience, and positive experiences.

SMALL STEPS CAN LEAD TO A BIG DIFFERENCE

Our goal is to help you understand your dog, recognise progress, and support their wellbeing throughout the process.
